Welcome our NEW Program Coordniator
The Literacy Center of Milford proudly welcomes Melinda Karwon as it’s new program coordinator. Melinda started working as a volunteer tutor in 2004. She held a beginner class and a low intermediate class at Simon Lake School. Melinda continued working one on one with several students but settled in to an advanced level class held at the Literacy Center on Tuesday mornings. Melinda graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2012 with a Graduate Certificate in TESOL, teaching English as a second or other language. Melinda will be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to several generous grant donations from United Way of Milford, Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, Community Fund for Women and Girls and the Deluca Foundation.
